Born and raised in Solon, Ohio, Roger R. Bartels, DDS, has been a fixture in the Healdsburg community for 30 years. After earning his Bachelor’s Degree from the Ohio State University, he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Case Western University in 1986. After practicing briefly in Cleveland, he followed his wife—a born-and-raised California girl—to Southern California, where he worked in several practices in the greater Los Angeles area. After relocating to Healdsburg in 1991, he purchased his current practice on Matheson Street.
A lifelong athlete and cyclist—he is a fixture in the NorCal cycling community, and has become known as “The World’s Fastest Dentist—Dr. Bartels is committed to health, of both the individual and the community. “Health begins with your teeth,†he says. “In order to nourish your body, you have to be able to chew your food.â€Â His practice aims to provide top-notch medical care, as efficiently and as painlessly as possible. “I like doing fast dentistry, painlessly and perfectly,†he says, adding, “I love Healdsburg because I love to eat. The bounty of Sonoma County is the food and wine, and you need to have a functional set of teeth to fully enjoy everything that Healdsburg has to offer.â€
